The Loss Prevention Foundation is a not for profit organization founded in 2006 to serve loss prevention professionals. Its mission is to advance the loss prevention profession by providing relevant, convenient and challenging educational resources. This mission is supported through our two certification programs, LPQ and LPC, ongoing educational products and our membership program.

The Loss Prevention Research Council (LPRC) uses fact-based research to develop crime and loss control solutions that improve the performance of its members and the industry. The LPRC was founded by leading retailers and has conducted over 55 real-world loss prevention research projects. LPRC PhD level researchers explore, develop, and measure the sales boost, crime and loss reduction, and financial impact of initiatives using scientific methods. LPRC also conducts proprietary research, training, expert witness and consulting for both members and non-members.
