Building a Human Face Through Private Label
Stewart Samuel, Program Director, IGD Canada

Please join the Food Marketing Institute for a webinar that explores how private label has become an integral part of a retailer’s brand portfolio and its communication to consumers. Grocery retailers are increasingly seeking to inject personality into their private label ranges. So what does the evolution of private label look like in the U.S.? Global food and consumer goods experts IGD will draw on international best-practice examples, demonstrating the forces that are driving private label growth, and how retailers are building their signature brands. What’s more, IGD will share how branded manufacturers are “fighting” back.

Stewart joined IGD in the UK in 2005 and transferred to Vancouver, Canada, in 2009 where he is now responsible for running IGD’s operations in the region. Stewart is an expert on US and Canadian food retailer strategies and trends, and also works on developing IGD's customer base in those markets. He contributes to Retail Analysis, IGD's online insights platform, with a particular focus on retailer brands, format developments, retail technology and Walmart. Stewart is a media commentator and works closely with grocery retailers and manufacturers as part of IGD's customized projects.
