Improve your bottom line through more efficient operations. Offered in partnership with Western Michigan University, this interactive course focuses on the complex operations side of the supermarket business. Course content includes industry trends, pricing strategies, understanding shrink control, recruiting, mentoring and much more! Emphasis is on practical information for day-to-day supermarket operations.
Registration Includes:
Tuition includes sleeping room accommodations, three meals a day (except one dinner), coffee breaks, all course materials, daily transportation to the Fetzer Center and transportation for the store/factory tours. Tuition does not include transportation to and from Kalamazoo, MI, or hotel accommodations if you plan to arrive on Saturday or stay over Thursday night.

Store managers, owners/operators, general managers, district and divisional managers, high-potential performers, and individuals in non-operations positions who wish to increase their understanding of the operations side of the business.
Meeting Attire:
Attire is business casual(no ties). Remember that the weather can fluctuate, so be prepared for cool evenings.

Cancellation and Other Policies:
To cancel, please call 202.220.0710 or email tross@fmi.org. A full refund is granted when a cancellation is received by July 5, 2007 (COB). A 60 percent refund is granted if cancellation is received by July 11, 2007 (COB). Refunds will be made in the same manner that conference payment was made.

General Hotel Information:
Participants are responsible for making their own reservations. Contact: the Radisson Plaza Hotel hotel at 269-343-3333 and mention the FMI Managing the Total Store: Although the nights of Sunday-Wednesday will be paid by FMI, participants must indicated to the hotel their entire length of stay. Participants are responsible for payment for early arrival or late departure and should contact the Radisson directly. Please note that the deadline for reserving rooms is June 20, 2007.
Travel Information:
The Radison Plaza Hotel is in the heart of downtown Kalamazoo and is located approximately 20 minutes from teh Kalamazoo airport. A hotel shuttle bus is available at no charge (courtesy phones are in the airport baggage claim area). The Fetzer Center is also approximately 20 minutes from the airport. The taxi fare from the airport to the Radisson Plaza Hotel will cost $15.00 - $20.00 one way.
