The training being offered by FMI was developed by the Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA) and is the curriculum recognized by FDA. Successful completion of this course is one way to meet the requirements for a “Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI)” found in Preventive Controls for Human Food regulation. The regulation requires that certain activities must be completed by a PCQI who has “successfully completed training in the development and application of risk-based preventive controls”. Individuals successfully completing this training will receive a certificate from the FSPCA.
