The Food Marketing Institute (FMI) is pleased to announce a SuperSafeMark® (SSM) Train-The-Trainer Workshop. The SSM training and certification workshop was designed "by retailers for retailers" and is considered the best and most effective training for trainers, managers and associates that work in and around the supermarket environment.
WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES: The leaders of this SuperSafeMark training workshop will:
• Provide a brief overview of food safety workshop principles for certification.
• Conduct the SuperSafeMark Training Program for managers, associates, training officers and others.
• Use the FMI SuperSafeMark Program training materials to enhance learning.
• Implement effective training techniques for adult learners.
• Teach the participants food safety training skills and techniques as part of the workshop.

INSTRUCTORS QUALIFICATIONS: Persons should meet the following requirements to become an approved FMI SuperSafeMark instructor:
• Successful completion of the FMI SuperSafeMark Train-the-Trainer program.
During the two day Train-the-Trainer workshop, you will complete the requirements for a nationally recognized certification examination. Participants who pass the certification examination will become FMI-approved SuperSafeMark trainers.
Each participant will receive the entire suite of FMI SuperSafeMark Training materials updated to the FDA Food Code. Materials include:
• SuperSafeMark Food Safety and Sanitation Trainer’s Kit
• SuperSafeMark Quick Reference to Food Safety and Sanitation
• Guide to Food Safety and Sanitation
• 2007 Supplement to the FDA Food Code
• FMI Invisible Challenge DVD
Workshop hours will be from 7:30am - 5:00pm on both days and includes continental breakfast and lunch.

Managers and others who are responsible for their company’s food safety training, trainers who want to offer SSM training workshop, and state/local food safety trainers.
