Please join FMI and the Department of Justice for a comprehensive overview of how the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) apply to service animals. The ADA requires businesses that provide goods or services to the public to make "reasonable modifications" in their policies, practices, or procedures when necessary to accommodate people with disabilities and the service animal rules fall under this general principle. During this webinar Kathleen Wolfe, Special Litigation Counsel and Liz Savage, Attorney-Advisor, Disability Rights Section at the U.S. Department of Justice will provide an overview of the guidance and will answer questions such as whether emotional support animals constitute a service animal under the ADA. We encourage you to submit questions prior to the webinar. Please email your questions to Stephanie Barnes at sbarnes@fmi.org.
