Please join us on January 22nd at 3pm EST for an FMI webinar “An Overview of the Regulatory Landscape for Hemp-Derived Products Including CBD.” We will be discussing the impact of the 2018 Farm Bill on the federal legal framework regulating hemp and hemp-derived ingredients, including cannabidiol (CBD). FMI’s outside counsel, Samantha Dietle with Hogan Lovells, will provide an overview of the changes to the Drug Enforcement Agency’s (DEA’s) authority under the Controlled Substances Act to regulate hemp and hemp-derived ingredients, as well as the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA’s) authority to regulate the use of hemp-derived ingredients in FDA-regulated products. We will also highlight examples of state laws regulating the use of CBD in foods and dietary supplements.
