Many states have declared a state of emergency, which frees up additional resources for the state, and in some cases, allows them to waive certain regulations to help address the COVID-19 outbreak. The states below have declared a state of emergency and addressed trucking regulations, including hours of service and weight limits. Please use the links below to read the declaration text for specific details for each state. The map shows states that have waived truck weight regulations in light green, with states in dark green already having weight limits exceeding 88,000 lbs. on the books.
