RESERVATIONS

After this date, FMI cannot guarantee availability or the reduced conference rate. Reservations will be subject to the hotel's current availability and rates.
FMI has negotiated a special rate of $229.00 per night plus taxes (single/double occupancy). Rate includes complimentary access to the fitness center.
Please make reservations early to avoid disappointment as the room block is likely to sell out early.

HOTEL CANCELLATION & CHANGES
The hotel must receive notice of hotel cancellations or changes no later than 48 hours prior to your arrival or one night’s room and tax is forfeited. All hotel changes, substitutions, and/or cancellations must be made directly with the hotel, or through the reservation method used to secure the reservation.
*Please Note: Hotel reservations are accepted on a first-come, first served basis, including requests for specific room types. Hotel rates do not include hotel taxes (currently 14%, plus SFTID assessment 1.5%, MED assessment 0.5%, and California Tourism tax 0.065%, subject to change without notice). The hotel requires a credit card to guarantee reservations, as well as an arrival and departure date. All hotel changes, substitutions, and/or cancellations must be made directly with the hotel, or through the reservation method used to secure the reservation. Please note that in order to have a reservation in the group room block, you must register for the Food Marketing Institute Conference. FMI reserves the right to review the conference room block and remove those individuals who have not registered for the conference. One (1) hotel reservation per registered delegate will be accommodated. The hotel reservation should be made under the corresponding registered delegate’s name to avoid confusion. The hotel will add an early departure fee of one night’s room & tax to any guest who checks out of the hotel prior to the guest’s reserved check-out date. Guests wishing to avoid an early departure fee should advise the hotel prior to or at check-in of any change in planned length of stay.
TRAVEL
Airport: San Francisco International Airport (SFO) is approximately 15 miles from InterContinental Mark Hopknis.
Taxi: $40-$45 one-way per car. Taxis depart from the designated taxi zones located at the roadway center islands, on the Arrivals/Baggage Claim Level of all terminals.
SuperShuttle Airpot Shuttle: $17.00 per person, one-way (shared-ride).
Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART): Local public train system to San Francisco and around the Bay Area. Trains arrive at the SFO International Terminal every 15 minutes and it's just 30 minutes to downtown San Francisco. A one-way ticket from SFO to downtown is $8.25. The closest BART station near the InterContinental Mark Hopkins is the Powell Street Station. Click the BART Quickplanner to find more information and to buy advance tickets.
Parking is available at the InterContinental Mark Hopkins. Currently, overnight valet parking is $60.00 plus tax, with "in and out" privileges. Rates are subject to change without notice.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Refund of the registration fee, minus a $75.00 processing fee, will be made for any cancellation received in writing to register@fmi.org by April 20 2014. If notice is received by April 27, 2014, a 60% refund will be given. Any cancellations received after April 27, 2014, will not be refunded. Please note, registrations can be transferred to another company employee at any point prior to the conference.
