Opening General Session at FMI Connect:Joint FMI/United General Session: Keynote Address by Former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton
Hillary Rodham Clinton served as the 67th U.S. Secretary of State from 2009 until 2013, after nearly four decades in public service. Her “smart power” approach to foreign policy repositioned American diplomacy and development for the 21st century. Secretary Clinton played a central role in restoring America’s standing in the world, reasserting the United States as a Pacific power, imposing crippling sanctions on Iran and North Korea, responding to the Arab Awakening and negotiating a ceasefire in the Middle East. Earlier, as First Lady and Senator from New York, she traveled to more than 80 countries as a champion of human rights, democracy, and opportunities for women and girls. Secretary Clinton also worked to provide health care to millions of children, create jobs and opportunity, and support first responders who risked their lives at Ground Zero. In her historic campaign for President, Secretary Clinton won 18 million votes. FMI will provide transportation from the J.W. Marriott to McCormick Place for all FMI Foundation Retail Food Safety Forum attendees. *Attendees will receive a Continuing Education (CE) Attendance Form at the Forum. The form serves as proof of attendance and should be retained by the individual for his/her records. For individuals to receive Continuing Education credit with NEHA they can complete their submission on-line at www.neha.org/CEweb.CE.asp. To log onto the NEHA CE Webpage an individual would enter his/her last name and NEHA Credential ID number. In the event an individual is audited by NEHA he/she would need to provide a copy of the CE Attendance Form as proof of participation. Those that do nothold a NEHA credential would need to submit the CE Attendance Form wtih all of the requested information completed and the appropriate processing and maintenance fee.
