WASHINGTON, DC — February 15, 2006 — Food Marketing Institute (FMI) is pleased to announce that Jeff Rumachik has been named executive director of FMI’s Wholesaler Division. Rumachik replaces Jack Block, who retired from FMI on December 31, 2005.
     

In this role, Rumachik provides overall direction for FMI’s wholesaler member segment and manages all aspects of the Wholesaler Advisory Board and its committees. His responsibilities include developing and implementing wholesaler member retention and recruitment, facilitating member-to-member networking opportunities, and identifying and communicating key issues and trends of importance to wholesalers.

Rumachik continues to serve as group director of field services, which he has led since March 2000. In this position, he provides overall direction for the field services business unit and is responsible for developing member retention, recruitment and marketing strategies. Prior to this position, Rumachik served as FMI’s regional director for the central U.S. He joined FMI in 1991.
     

Rumachik previously served as a retail counselor and an instructor of supermarket management training at SUPERVALU, Inc., in Minneapolis, MN. Rumachik also was a store manager at Sentry Foods in Kenosha, WI for more than 10 years.
