Louisville, Kentucky – November 7, 2013 – The Safe Quality Food Institute (SQFI) recognized six recipients for the 2013 Quality Achievement Awards, which are presented to companies and individuals demonstrating an ongoing commitment to improving food safety within the global community.
“Our Outstanding Achievement Award recipients contribute to achieving the SQF mission; delivering consistent, globally recognized food safety and certification programs,” said Robert Garfield, senior vice president of SQF Institute. “Producing safe food must remain a top priority for all food retailers and manufacturers, and we are pleased to recognize those who uphold the highest standards of food safety.”
The Quality Achievement grand prize winners are as follows:
Outstanding Achievement - Holly Mockus, FONA International
Auditor of the Year - Jacek Sztabowski, ProFood Solutions for Food Safety and Quality
Certification Body of the Year -SAI-Global
Manufacturer of the Year- Hans Kissle Company and The Kroger Co.
Training Center of the Year - Food Safety and Quality Systems LLC
The grand prize winners were selected from a pool of three finalists in each category and announced at an awards luncheon during the 2013 SQF International Conference in Louisville, Kentucky. Entries were judged based on the performance of individuals and organizations who contribute to endorsing and improving the SQFI mission around the globe. Each grand prize winner received complimentary registration to the 2014 SQF Conference and were presented with a crystal award.
