Many of us are developing (maybe even dreading) our list of New Year's resolutions for 2024. At the top of my list each year is resolving to express more gratitude and gratefulness toward those that support and sustain my happiness, health and well-being. Without their help, I'd never be able to lose the weight, exercise more, save money or any of the other standard resolutions we make.
There's one group of human beings that I recommend including on that list of those to be grateful for—supermarket employees. As the Senior Director of Member Services, I find myself consistently drawn to a resolution that goes beyond the realm of personal development and ventures into the territory of gratitude. Expressing appreciation for those who play a pivotal role in supporting and sustaining our happiness, health and overall well-being is a resolution that holds profound significance. Supermarket employees have earned my gratitude for their efforts to feed families and enrich lives.
As we approach Supermarket Employee Day on February 22, 2024, let's make a conscious effort to recognize and express gratitude to these individuals. Designated as essential in the grocery industry, supermarket employees play a pivotal role in shaping our daily lives. Whether through a simple thank you or a warm smile, let's use this occasion to pay forward our appreciation for the hard work and dedication of these unsung heroes.
This Supermarket Employee Day, let us not only acknowledge their contributions but also cultivate a spirit of appreciation that extends beyond a single day.
